Cannot stress enough how much we love Steinway Court Vet. All the vets there are so kind and empathetic toward their patients. You receive highly personalized care, they know everything about your pet. Dr. Ordas is so gentle, kind, friendly, and caring with Gizmo. He’s really patient and both Dr. G and Dr. O only suggest what’s best for your pet. If they don’t believe your pet needs some $$$ test, they won’t push it. If something is on their differential and they need additional testing, they’ll let you know. I never doubt this team and they’ve been there for all three of my dogs, and all my former pets as a lifer here in Astoria :). We love this team and are so grateful for them.

A really incredible, honest, caring and fairly priced vet. Our cat had a really bad ear infection and was dizzy and falling allover the place. They saw him, went through what might be going on with him, clearly explained what they would do and what the costs would be, sent me home with medicine and called to give me the bloodwork results and were checking in on his progress. Two days before this I took him to another vet down the street who charged us way more for doing much less and he left there in much worse shape than before, after we took him to Steinway court he improved greatly that evening.

Went to this location for the first time since we were looking for a USDA accredited vet for international travel. We're not from the area but this place is AMAZING. From the start, the team helped us figure out all that was needed. Everyone is super knowledgable and friendly. They made the process simple and stress free. Fair prices compared to a lot of other vets too. If we weren't moving, we would switch to this vet for everything even though its not in our area. Highly recommend!

Overall got good care for my dog. However, I strongly disliked some of the way the front office staff interacted with the pet owners. Felt like they were very annoyed all the time. If you're okay with that this is a good place to go. Would personally rather spend a little more money for kinder people. Went to a different vet because I made "too late" of an appointment for a health certificate and the other vet was WAY nicer and actually cheaper.

I brought my bearded dragon here after seeing that the clinic advertises care for exotic and reptile pets. Based on that representation, I reasonably believed they were equipped to both evaluate and treat reptile patients. I paid $662.88 for an exotic exam, bloodwork, fecal testing, and X-rays, which were completed. The following day, I was informed that my pet would need to be seen by an outside exotic specialist for further care. This limitation was never disclosed prior to the appointment. Had I been told in advance that treatment would likely require referral elsewhere, I would have scheduled directly with a reptile specialist to avoid duplicate consultation fees, additional cost, and unnecessary stress to my animal. When I contacted the clinic about this concern, I was told they are a general practice and do not specialize in any species, which conflicted with the impression given on their website advertising reptile/exotic services. I followed up to request reconsideration of the consultation fee and waited more than two weeks for a response but did not receive one. Greater transparency about care limitations before scheduling would have allowed for an informed decision and prevented unnecessary expense and stress for both my pet and me. UPDATE: I see that the clinic responded to my review and I would like to clarify that I previously contacted the hospital manager to discuss this concern and request reconsideration of the consultation fee. At that time, I was informed that no refund could be offered. I also followed up afterward and waited more than two weeks for a response but did not receive one, which is why I ultimately chose to share my experience publicly. My concern has always been transparency regarding the scope of care for exotic animals so owners can make informed decisions before scheduling, particularly when those services are advertised as being available.
