I was studying piano tuning and this is a lovely place to get to see how Steinway produces their pianos. I feel every pianist/musician needs to come here. It's great to see the different stages of building a piano to the tuning stage. We met and saw lovely wood crafts and saw beautiful, intricate designs for pianos as well. There is a wait to book to go - so definitely sign up sooner. They provide the goggles to walk around the factory and there's a tour guide who is happy to answer your questions.

About 5 years ago, in between mid or late November 2019, not long before COVID-19 struck, my friends and I from the Goodwill Next Steps Program located in Long Island City went to this factory to see how these pianos are made. I hope someday I come back again, whether if it’s me by myself, or if I’m with my parents, or my friends from the Goodwill Next Steps Program. I even wrote a letter to them thanking them for letting us have the opportunity to give us the grand tour around this factory, and they gave me a book, and some stickers as a return gift. I bet whoever writes to this factory gets gifts in return. Once again, I hope to come back to this factory soon. I apologize if this review is too long.

I am writing to you to inquire about the possibility of accessing professional training and obtaining official certification as an authorized technician from Steinway & Sons. I currently hold a training certificate issued by a teacher affiliated with the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG), and I would like to know if this certification is valid as a basis for applying for formal training or certification from Steinway & Sons. I’m so frustrated about their service. I tried to schedule a technician to fix my piano many times through a website, my sales representative for a month, but I never got the message back. I left the voice message but no feedback. This is awful. They sent me an advertisement email about the regular service application after few days, and we replied the email, but again no answer. Margo Hanzel is the contact person. This person never answers. Do they treat customer equally? Do they discriminating customer? Steinway is the prestigious piano brand and I love the sound, but the way they are handling the customer service is just terrible.
