Sun Park Laundromat

A tightly packed laundromat in a basement. The space and the machines were clean. The guests washing were courteous. Prices consistent with other laundries in nyc. It’s a tight space so I chose to wait in the park across the street while washing. They also seem to have a thriving laundry drop off business.

We were desperately looking for a Laundromat at around 4 PM that would still take in orders for Wash and Fold, that would be ready by the next day. The machines are very clean at the Sun Park Laundromat and we were very happy when we picked our laundry up the next day at 3 PM, all clothes folded and packed in a plastic bag inside the bag we brought the dirty clothes in. Would bring our laundry here again! Bring cash and look out for the hidden entrance, as the shop is underground.

Friendly helpful service. Bring your own detergent/ dryer sheets if doing your own. They also provide drop off service. Trouble locating entrance at first but it is located below ground level between brick partitions extending onto sidewalk. The park across the street with restrooms is enjoyable for people watching while waiting for your washer ($4.00) and dryer (approx $.25 per 3 minutes) timers. Next time I will try the dumpling restaurant 2 doors down.

Very affordable option for doing your own laundry. We paid $4 for a small wash and about $2 to dry. Staff was friendly and the machines were easy to operate. It’s located on a lower level with some steps leading down to it so it isn’t immediately seen from the road but there is a big white and blue sign saying Laundromat above the entrance. There is no seating but we set an alarm and walked around the neighbourhood for a bit. Would definitely recommend.

Some of the staff is nice but the one on Saturday is horrible. Yelling just because the coin machine happen to break down when you’re using it and not willing to exchange dimes and nickels for 3 quarters. Bad service!
