I passed my driving test on the first attempt today and l'd like to credit Sun Rays Driving School for their excellent instruction. My instructor was incredibly patient, supportive, and knowledgeable, making every lesson a positive experience.

I had a good experience with this driving school. The staff were nice, most lessons started on time, and they were flexible when I needed to change instructors. Overall, it was a smooth and positive experience.

Overall, great experience! I went from having never driven before, to passing the road test on my first try after 2-3 weeks of lessons. My instructor, Leo, was friendly, an excellent teacher, a highly skilled driver, and definitely knows his way around the road, driving, and the actual road test itself. He is accepting of students at any skill level, and always answers every question I ask with plenty of depth and detail. He always made sure I was safe on the road, is excellent at giving instructions to get out of tricky or unfamiliar situations, and tries to turn everything into a learning experience. Additionally, scheduling lessons was very painless, as they are very communicative through text and call. The pricing and packages are flexible and accommodating. If you live in the area around the school or the roads where they teach you (around Bath Beach and Dyker Heights for me), the instructor picks you up and drops you off at the beginning and end of every lesson. Coming from someone who started with zero driving experience, the journey was definitely easy, but what I learned along the way was very helpful and valuable. If you want to drive and/or pass the test, you have to be serious, you have to know the rules of the road, you have to be committed, and most importantly, you have to be confident and believe in yourself.

The lesson packages (includes however many lessons and road test scheduling as well as test car) were all incredibly well priced. I opted for 5 lessons and had chosen Ray as my instructor. He's kind and explained things very well. Lessons are 1 hr long and helped me learn and brush up on everything I needed. I'm very grateful that this school exists and appreciate the help Ray had been.
