This was the best cleaning of my life! No joke, I want to go back there tomorrow. It was great not just in the time and dedication I felt as a patient, but also the attitude, friendliness, straight forward staff and process. Also, the place looks like a spa. I totally felt like I was there for a pampering session. I honestly can’t wait to go back
had a cleaning done at Tend and it was a great experience from start to finish. My hygienist was very informative and explained everything she was doing throughout the process, which made me feel comfortable and confident in the care I was receiving. She was also incredibly friendly and helpful the entire time
All locations are clean and tidy. The LIC location is the friendliest and top notch. My hygienist Angela is the absolute best and wouldn’t trade her for the world. I highly recommend anyone to give tend a try. You won’t be disappointed.
I’ve been to Tend for several years and have had excellent experiences. I’ve recommended Tend to friends and family many times. This is the first time I’ve left feeling misled and disrespected. I visited Tend at this location in December 2025 for a routine cleaning and fluoride treatment. Typically, my cleaning is covered and I either pay out of pocket or a small fee for fluoride. At the visit, I was told I’d have a copay for the fluoride treatment. No problem, I paid. At every visit I am very thorough about cost and insurance coverage before leaving. The front desk staff explained what was covered and what my deductible would be. There was no mention that any of this was an estimate or “subject to change,” which is important for what happened next. About a month later, I received a bill from Tend. The breakdown shows total billed, what insurance covered, provider adjustments, what I already paid, and then an amount due. I was confused because (1) I already paid after the visit, and (2) this has never happened to me before at Tend. I called Tend to ask why I was being billed again. The first representative was pleasant at first, then became short and dismissive as I asked basic questions about the charges. He did not walk me through a clear breakdown and instead incorrectly stated that my insurance did not cover my cleaning because I “exceeded my limit.” That made no sense because this was my first visit for the year, so how could I exceed a limit for a routine cleaning? I was told to contact my insurance. I contacted my insurance and went through the claim with them. The cleaning was covered. The issue was that two types of X-rays were billed, and only one of those was covered under my plan. This matters because I was hesitant about having additional procedures and kept asking what the cost would be. I was told they couldn’t say and that an X-ray was needed. I asked if the X-ray was covered and I was told yes. Prior to that, an X-ray was already taken at the start of my cleaning and I was also told it would be covered. The coverage part was not true for the second X-ray, because my plan only covers one. This should have been verified and communicated before taking additional imaging. I called Tend again with this updated information and asked why these charges were not disclosed at the visit, especially when costs and coverage were reviewed with me before I paid. The representative acknowledged it but insisted the balance must be paid. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and was told that nothing would change. When I repeated that I wanted a manager or supervisor, I was told they could “request a call back” and someone would get back to me whenever they can, with no timeframe. That felt dismissive, and at that point I did not feel I was being treated respectfully. My issue is not that insurance rules exist. My issue is that I asked directly about coverage and cost before anything was done and before I left, and I was not told that the costs were estimates or that my plan only covered one X-ray. If I had been told the truth up front, I would have declined any additional imaging and left with a basic cleaning. Resolution requested: I am disputing this bill and I expect Tend to waive the additional balance in full. I paid what I was told I owed at the visit based on the information provided to me, and I should not be charged afterward due to incorrect or incomplete verification and disclosure. If Tend disagrees, I want a manager to provide an itemized explanation in writing that addresses why I was told the X-ray was covered and why I was not told the costs were estimates. I’m not going to wait indefinitely for a vague call back. I intend to visit the physical location and speak to a manager directly. I will update this review after I speak with management and see whether Tend resolves this appropriately. Update: I was contacted by a manager, received an apology for the confusion and came to a resolution for the issue. This is the level of care I expected from Tend, 5 stars.
Facility is beautiful and first impression was great. However looks are deceiving. My son and I had cleanings done when they were having a promotion for new clients. booked our appt within the timeframe for the promotion and even confirmed it multiple times. They reassured us we would get it in an email and needless to say that email never arrived. When we reached out we were given the brush off , customer service was extremely lacking , not to mention the feeling of being scammed is not a good one. I tried multiple times via emails and they just replied that since the promo ended there’s no way they could honor it. I feel that it was dishonest. When we asked to speak to a supervisor we were never provided with that information and they literally just brushed us off and stopped replying back to me. On top of that, the fillings done on my son were quite aggressive and he’s STILL having pain. Long story short , it may work for some but we value transparency and honesty when it comes to a dental provider. And unfortunately TEND didn’t seem to offer either of these. We are extremely disappointed in their service and poor follow through and since leaving them have found MUCH better alternative!
