The B’aluk’s Cravings

I stumbled upon B'aluks last week. What a wonderful surprise. Traditional Guatemalan food which is rare in the neighborhood. The place is very simple. A few chairs and some tables as though you were in someone's home. The owner is lovely and attentive. The food is traditional fair but executed well! Amazing Pupusas and the Tacos Dorados were amazing. I can't wait to come back and support

I'm actually from Guatemala and I was visiting New York and I saw a tik tok about this place! I definitely had to try it, I craved food from home and I was disappointed! The owner is from Guatemala ans she is extremely skilled in what she does! My mom still top but this is pretty close! If you give a try I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Traveled more than an hour to get here, and all I can say is it is worth it; it is a hidden gem. We loved it!! The Shukos were incredible and the rellenito reminded me of my grandmothers. Definitivamente vuelvo de nuevo 🥰

I love this place! Pupusas and Guatemalan shukos are delicious. The owner is a sweetheart. Whenever I crave pupusas, this is my spot.

Some friends of mine in Brooklyn recommended this place because I wanted to try something different. I hadn't had Guatemalen before, but I tried the paches and the meat was delicious (as long as you like spicy). It's kind of like a tamale. If you're in the area you have to go.
