The Corner School Nursery and Kindergarten

My 4 year-old attends currently, five days a week 9am - 4pm. We are extremely happy with The Corner School and wish we'd discovered it two years ago. The staff is warm, skilled and accessible, the program in accordance with NYC D.O.E. standards, the facility charming and the rates more than reasonable. There's a great after-hours flexibility as well. My wife and I are both teachers and we did a lot of shopping around and comparing pre-K options. This is a great little school. There is also a bus service associated with the school that we engage - very reliable, very affordable.

The best school in the area! I've searched for a great pre-k for a very long time and interviewed all the schools in the area. We've had some bad experiences. I could not be happier to have found the Corner School. The school's director is beyond nice, informative, caring and passionate about the children. My son comes back home always happy, singing new songs and his bag is overloaded with beautiful artwork he created at the school. This is a very small, community oriented school which contributes to extra attention each child receives. The universal pre-k program is perfectly combined with an extended hours program which allows the child to have a great structured program from 9-4 including lots of play time, projects and fun. We will be continuing the program for summer camp as well just as we did last year.

The most amazing nursery school!! My daughter is in PreK, she also attended 3K at the corner school. We are beyond satisfied with how amazing this school is. The staff is so helpful and attentive, they truly love all of the students. The school community reminds me of a family. Great activities for the kids and they learn so much (it’s quite impressive, really). Best decision we made as a family was enrolling our girl here.

This school is wonderful. The environment feels so fun, caring, and supportive for my son. I couldn't imagine him starting school anywhere else. Everyone, from the teachers to the administrators, are invested in what's best for their student's growth and progress.

I truly have NOTHING good to say about the Corner School. The best decision, in my opinion, was when I took my daughter out of the program and moved her to one that offered more rigorous instruction, quality engagement with staff and teachers who could tell me more than “Your daughter is very sweet” at a parent teacher conference. In my opinion, the director of the program needs to go as she lacks the basic knowledge and experience to organize a picnic. Do yourself a favor, find another place to send your child to, they deserve better!
