Dr. Sabrina Popatia is the best! I love this dermatologist, the office is clean and inviting. The entire staff is lovely. I’ve struggled with Eczema for my entire life and working with Dr. Popatia has really eased my stress around it with treatment especially in the dry winter months. She answers all my questions and reassures me for all my skincare needs. I use to have a lot of anxiety going to the doctor but Dr. Popatia and the staff make things feel the least stressful, I could not recommend her or this office more for anyone needing a derm!

Update: The billing department has voided the charge. The manager did reach out by email and phone to apologize and explain as best they can. There seems to be a disconnect between the different admin groups. I hope my future appointment is more seamless. Truly a scam. I saw Dr. Popatia who was great, and currently have a follow up appointment (for now...). However, despite confirming with both the practice as well as my insurance that I'm in network, I got a surprise credit card charge of $270 with no explanation. I've been on the phone with them over a dozen times, with different people and the billing department claims that they have no visibility of this charge and that I should send a written request to have it looked at. I'm shocked. Why am I spending hours of my time trying to correct a false charge that my insurance and I already paid for? Why can't I get a hold of a single living individual to actually help me instead of telling me to call another number? I'm now awaiting a call from the billing department (again) to discuss my incorrect charge. Absolutely a nightmare to navigate through. There are a ton of dermatologists in New York, but the logistics and admin part of this practice is truly fraudulent.

Edit: we received a refund only after 10+ phone calls and physically tracking down the office manager across the city. Save yourself the trouble! Everything I have learned only confirms that this business is deliberately designed to defraud patients and make it so difficult to resolve that they presumably give up. Truly reprehensible. My spouse was billed a full $300 automatically despite seeing an in-network provider with an approved insurance claim. The office has been paid TWICE and refuses to issue a timely refund. It seems that billing has been fully outsourced and there is "nothing they can do". The exasperated staff seem to acknowledge a widespread problem, and several reviews across locations have shared very similar scenarios. I have wasted hours on hold with this billing provider and my insurance company with no resolution. Management needs to look at a complete overhaul of your billing system. We will not be visiting again!
