Dr. Rachel Gilmore is an excellent dermatologist. She is professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. I never felt rushed, and all my questions were answered thoroughly. The office staff is friendly and the practice is very well organized. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone looking for quality dematologic care.

The Receptionist here had a particularly pleasant demeanor and was patient with me while I had a few snafus filling out the intake information. The assistant was very kind and Dr Rachel Gilmore removed a growth under my eye while reassuring me that it seemed benign but that she would get it tested for me. Overall I was so pleased with The Dermatology Specialist. My one concern was the wait time. I went 20 minutes early as I was a new patient but then had to wait for just over half an hour past my appointment time. I don’t think that would have bothered me as much if I hadn’t already come early. Over all an extremely positive experience!

I’ve been seeing Holly Di Mura and I love her. She is a brilliant PA , super knowledgeable ,professional ,pleasant ,compassionate and the treatment she started on me it does works. I fully and genuinely recommend her for all your derm appointments.

Stay away. Like many other reviewers, we had a good experience with the level of care we received. And like many other reviewers, we learned the hard way that their billing department is in absolute shambles. My wife went in for a routine procedure last April (yes, this saga has been rolling on for almost ten months now). We received the bill, which seemed unusually high. They asked us if we wanted to stop payment on the bill, and we communicated in both writing and over the phone that we did not want our card on file to be charged. They charged us anyway. In the months since, it became clear that the reason the bill was so high was that they charged us to a provider in NC, not NY. They even admitted at one point that we were due a refund. All we asked is that they resubmit the bill properly. They have refused. Both we and our insurance provider, who we have looped in, have constantly been given the runaround. They fail to keep any kind of notes on our file, so every time we engage with them we have to start at zero. Our insurance co tries to put on some pressure, and they say they will only speak to us. We reach out again, we hear crickets. At this point I can only say that they are fraudsters, plain and simple. It has gone well beyond an honest mistake or even carelessness. What will happen is that they will comment on my review telling me they are sorry to hear about this and that I should reach out to their billing office. But we both know that this isn't going anywhere. Why? Because we've already engaged with them countless times and they are unable- or more likely, unwilling- to do the simple thing and rectify their error. I hope other potential clients will heed my warning and the warnings of many others and take your business elsewhere. We are never going back.

The medical staff is quick, friendly and professional. No complaints there. I came in for a PREVENTIVE visual examination of a few moles just to make sure they weren't cancerous or something, and the whole thing took less than 5 minutes. HOWEVER, they coded the visit as "Office Evaluation & Management New Patient" and up-charged me $375. Note that I have excellent insurance through work, and preventive care like this should be 100% covered, and it would be if I had gone to a more honest establishment. I walked into the office hoping for some help and they blew me off. I called the billing department asking for help and they were even worse. Zero stars. They lost a customer today.
