The PAs were fine but there were issues with billing like the other comments. I've been coming here for a while but then they said they no longer take my insurance. However they can still honor my appointment and just charge me the copay. Several months later, they automatically charged my card. I called and emailed and they just said that charge is for the visit on that date. If they told me they can't accept me, that's fine. But don't charge me twice without informing me. I asked for a refund but they stopped answering me.

I was able to be properly diagnosed with a rare skin disease. The PA was nice but it felt like a medical school. Never even met the Doctor. No follow up and no treatment. They pretty much said bye, here’s multiple bills after two unnecessary biopsies.

Horrible management! Doctor's misdiagnosed aswell! Had a bad experience once and decided to give them a second chance and they still are not to standards. First visit they misdiagnosed my child's rashes, gave me medication that made it worse. Second time they billed me for the visit said the provider was not under my insurance. Had to call multiple people to fix this since it was their fault and I should have been covered. Last and final time I made an appointment at the sunset location they booked me with someone who just took a look and told me the procedure (cyst removal) cannot be done that day. When I requested and appointment specifically for that purpose. Was informed I had to go to the park slope location. Went to the second location only to find out they booked me wrong and the provider did not take my insurance. Wanted me to rebook at another location!. Seriously unprofessional! I had enough going back and forth! Save yourself the headache! Find a more professional office!

I am a lifetime severe eczema patient. I came to this practice after my insurance changed and I needed a new treatment plan. The first time I came in, I was met by a PA other than the person I made the appointment for, who told me she doesn't usually work at this location and was just filling in for the day. She was also in the middle of her lunch, literally finishing a bite and smelling of food as she entered the room. I am a very chill person, often letting customer service and medical professionals walk all over me for fear of being too assertive. Normally, I would not write a review just because of unprofessionalism such as being mid bite when coming into the exam room. However, when I made an appointment with a different doctor, they prescribed me with an ointment that my insurance denied. Mind you I have previously gotten this medication from this office so I know all the have to do is give more information about the severity of my condition. Instead ,I have had to do ALL of the work to communicate between insurance and derm specialists to ensure that they enter the correct information so that I get approved. Weeks later, I am still without this medication that I paid a copay for the express purpose of getting. I have gone back and forth over and over again between the office and my pharmacy, and my insurance. Only today, I found out that this office DOES NOT HAVE A MANAGER. So, every time I speak to someone on the phone and they say they're going to "send a message" to the sunset park location, it's actually going to another location. I would just give up, but I am suffering severe symptoms and they're the only dermatologist I can find that takes my insurance and has openings. Lastly, my roommate who does not suffer from any skin conditions came here and has had no trouble getting the same exact medication that I am out of, from this office. So, I believe Dermatology Specialists cater to the average human's dermatological needs more than actually providing care to the chronically suffering people who need them the most.

We typically have a good experience in this location. However, the lady who was covering for the regular front desk person was extremely rude. She does not know how to speak to people with respect. She charged me a copay, which I haven't had to in my previous visits. She's very unprofessional. She stood on a personal phone call the entire time. Usually, I will schedule the next visit after we finish with the Dr. but she was so unpleasant, I decided to do it later on at home. Terrible worker all around.
