The Dolar Shop Hot Pot Manhattan

We had such a great experience at The Dolar Shop. The food was amazing from the broths to the way everything is set up and presented. The individual hot pot setup really makes the experience feel special and everything we tried was delicious. What I really loved was how much care they’ve put into adding halal options to the menu. All the halal certificates are clearly laid out which made us feel very comfortable and welcomed and honestly meant a lot. Evan was our waiter and he was incredible so friendly attentive and on top of everything the whole time. The only small note is that it would be amazing if the halal options were available a bit earlier than 9:30 pm. Overall such a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Came here late on a Saturday night for the all you can eat option. If you're a night owl with madddd munchies like me then you should totally check this place out! It's a tad pricey but the value is really worth it! The vibe was great, even late into the night, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. For the late night ayce option you order your broths and meats on an iPad / tablet, and then you go to the buffet tables where you can choose from a variety of other ingredients to cook in the broth as well as sides and sauces. They had a nice selection of ingredients, including meats, seafood, fungi, vegetables, and noodles. I was very satisfied with the options! Although I did find myself wanting another kind of noodle or two. I ended up going for both the spicy broth and the creamy pork broth, and was satisfied with both. Both broths were rich, smooth, and aromatic with the spicy one being my preferred of the two because of its extra zing. As for the meats, I ended up going for the ribeye, the lamb shoulder, and the pork belly. The quality of the meats was amazing! All three meats were sliced thinly and elegantly, allowing them to cook after just seconds in the broth. The ribeye was my favorite of the three. It was so tender it melted in my mouth! The lamb shoulder packed a punch flavor wise, standing up to the flavors of the broth and the sauce. The pork belly was also good, rich and mild with a nice balance of lean and fat. I ended up ordering the ribeye and the lamb again because I liked them so much! As for the other ingredients I tried the whole shrimp, napa cabbage, lotus and lotus root, soft tofu, crystal noodles, mung bean noodles, beef balls, beef tripe, cuttlefish, shiitake mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, bamboo shoots, seaweed knots, bean curd, fish roe balls, quail eggs, sausage, and kimchi. I'd say my favorites of the ingredients were the beef balls, the shrimp (if you're willing to peel them), the fish roe balls, the enoki mushrooms, the bean curd, the mung bean noodles, and the quail eggs. Everything was good though to be honest! Apparently they have soft serve ice cream as dessert too which I'll totally try next time. I would definitely recommend coming here late night for the all you can eat option, the food is high quality and the service is awesome. Hopefully I'll get a chance to return!

Wonderful spot that was super accommodating to a huge group of friends. First time trying hot pot and did not disappoint. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were all served quickly once we submitted our orders on the devices. Everything was fresh and so yummy, hope to be back again !

This hot pot place is fun. Very clean and with wonderful furniture inside. Comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Portions are very generous. Salad and fruit self service area was decent. Not too fancy. Food to hot pot was ok, nothing to write home about. Meatballs were little stiff. But in general nice. Restroom were comfortable and clean. Overall nice and fun experience.

Great hotpot spot, though on the pricier side. The quality of both the meat and vegetables is excellent, and I love that everyone gets their own individual pot with unlimited soup refills. The meat had beautiful marbling. We ordered a lot of à la carte items, but after some quick napkin math, the set menus would’ve been a better deal. They also offer free vanilla ice cream at the end, which was the perfect way to cool down after such a spicy, flavorful meal. Definitely make a reservation beforehand!
