I want to share my personal experience working with Mr. Rosenfeld so that others can make informed decisions before hiring him. Based on what I went through, I strongly advise being cautious before conducting any business with him or his office. I hired Mr. Rosenfeld about a year ago, believing he would handle my case with the professionalism and responsibility expected from an attorney. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. From the beginning, he presented himself as polite and professional, but as time went on — especially during court appearances — he repeatedly failed to resolve my case. He originally told me the matter would be easy to settle because the landlord’s lawsuit was not based on nonpayment and lacked a valid reason. That turned out not to be the case. About two months ago, Mr. Rosenfeld informed me that the landlord was willing to negotiate. At that point, I agreed to move out because I no longer wanted to stay there. During our discussions, we verbally agreed that once I vacated the unit, I would not be pursued for any additional charges. I trusted his explanation, and he assured me that this would be the outcome. Shortly after, I received a notice from the landlord stating that I was being sent to collections for a balance I had already paid and that had previously been refunded to me. This was shocking, especially because it directly contradicted what Mr. Rosenfeld and I had agreed upon. For the past two months, I have repeatedly attempted to contact Mr. Rosenfeld for answers, but he has not responded. His staff has also expressed frustration and seems aware of the situation, but I still have not received any clarification or help from him directly. Yes, I signed the agreement — but only after he explained it to me and assured me that no additional charges would be pursued. I am not a legal expert and relied on his guidance in good faith. My experience has left me feeling misled, unprotected, and taken advantage of. I’m sharing this so others are aware and can protect themselves from going through the same situation.
