I am not a patient as of yet, but felt the need to write a review regardless. I called an hour ago, and left a voice message requesting a call back. After calling multiple other clinics and getting no answer, I decide to call this one again and got someone on the phone who kindly explained he can either take my info and have someone call back as soon as they’re free from high volume of incoming calls, or he can guide me to the website where I can submit my info instead of waiting for a call back JUST to take the same info. I really appreciate getting someone who I’m sure is not a receptionist, maybe even a therapist helping the front desk, to at least tend to my call. Seeking help can be challenging for some individuals, and highly discouraging if you can’t even get someone to pick up the phone. Truly appreciate their effort, this might seem like the bare minimum but compared to other clinics this is gold!

The New Hope MHCS provides a supportive and professional environment. Dr. Clovis is patient, knowledgeable, and truly attentive. In addition to mental health care, the team offers one-to-one support with practical needs such as resume help and job searching when needed. I’ve had a very positive experience and would highly recommend their services.

I would give zero stars if I could. I came to this office during an extremely vulnerable and difficult time in my life. After finally building the courage to seek therapy, I was relieved to hear they were accepting new patients and had availability on May 15. However, right after confirming my interest, I was informed that only virtual sessions were available — something I wasn’t initially told. Still, because I was in crisis and desperate for help, I agreed. My first intake session was May 17. It was decent and efficient, and I was told I’d have my next session on Saturday, May 24. I waited all week looking forward to it, only to receive no link, no reminder, and no session. When I called the office, someone called me back to let me know I had no appointment scheduled at all. That moment shattered me. I was left completely unsupported in a moment I was counting on care. That was the second major issue. I still tried to give them another chance. I was assigned to a new clinician for my second intake, and after another week of anticipation, the session lasted only 15 minutes out of the 45 scheduled. The clinician didn’t even introduce himself. His tone was cold and robotic, like he was reading from a manual. I left that session angrier and more hopeless than before. But I held out hope, thinking at least I’d be paired with a different therapist going forward. The final straw came when I woke up to a voicemail from billing saying I owed a copay—something I was explicitly told I did not have. I was also assured that my card would not be charged without my permission. But when I checked my bank account, the money had already been withdrawn—without my knowledge or consent. As a single parent, that was money taken from my daughter’s mouth. I am furious. When I called the office, the front desk woman told me she couldn’t help me because billing was closed and then told me I was “welcome to leave a bad review.” So here it is. This office showed a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and responsibility. They failed me emotionally, logistically, and financially—and I came to them in a time of crisis. No one should have to chase down basic care when they’re already struggling. I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone.
