The Seaport Paw

We've been going to Seaport Paw for a couple years now, since we moved down to the area. They treat our dogs with the most care and attention they deserve. We always appreciate how well groomed and how nice the dogs smell after they come back from Seaport Paw. We highly recommend anyone looking for a new groomer that's local to the area!

Prentiss is amazing! Maximus has been seeing him since he was 5 months old, and he always comes out looking perfect. Prentiss is gentle, attentive, and truly cares for Maximus. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch groomer!

Since I adopted him back in 2019! Seriously the best small pet shop for the best treats and grooming services. May is truly the best! The only one I know my dog can trust after all his abuse prior to being adopted by me. The blue tail was her idea and ever since then we have ran with it. I will keep going back no matter what. I highly recommend the service here. All the groomers as well. And for the best care & price in the neighborhood!

I commute across town to go to Seaport paw for my standard golden-doodle grooming. Highly recommend especially for doodles. May has been my dog’s groomer since she was a puppy, she is great and takes her time with each dog. Other folks who work there are good as well, we had positive experiences when May was traveling. Front desk is so friendly and helpful which is always a plus.

While the storefront is friendly and a good place to buy treats. I DO NOT recommend this place for grooming. I took my Pekingese to be groomed, which was quite expensive—$165 is more than I pay for my own haircut—and it took them 2.5 hours. My husband specifically requested a groomer named May and showed a photo with clear grooming instructions at drop-off. However, when we picked up our dog, he had been groomed by someone else who was never given the instructions we requested. A bait and switch. We explicitly told the groomer DO NOT CUT HIS LONG EARS. Yet, when we picked him up, his beautiful long ears had been cut and thinned. To make matters worse, there were multiple dread-like tangles of residual hair they had trimmed but didn’t even bother to comb out (see photos). We requested a smooth puppy cut, but what he got was a choppy, irregular mess with long shaggy patches all over his body and no discernible shape. (See photos) The underside of his paws still had excessive fur around the pads and the close shave around his anus (no picture) is frankly unattractive. While they gave him an adorable scarf post grooming, this is far from the high-end, expert grooming suggested by the price. We normally go to Easy Wag, but couldn’t get an appointment this week. It would’ve been worth the wait. I do not recommend grooming services here. Update since business owners response: Their response is gaslighting about my dog’s ears. The cc tv is the excuse they already used in another review here where a dog was injured. They did not address my comment about his paws, nor why we didn’t get groomer we booked. Furthermore they are trying to discredit my poor experience by finding a discrepancy in the amount paid, which they also did in another bad customer review in this feed. Obviously taxes and tips add up.
