The Studio at Hoboken

Dance lessons at The Studio in Hoboken for our wedding were SO fun! We worked with Violet for 3 lessons, and she was incredibly sweet, making us feel completely at ease. She was easy going, and had great ideas for incorporating performance into our first dance, plus tips for easy dips and other coordinated moments throughout the wedding. She's a fantastic teacher for any skill level (or complete lack thereof!). The Studio was well-priced and conveniently located within Hoboken. Their timing is a little limited unless you have late night availability, just because they have only one studio space, so your rehearsal can not be at the same time as their standing classes.

My husband and I used Violet for dance lessons for our private first dance at our wedding. She was fantastic! She was so easy to work with, followed up with us over text with videos so we could practice, and calmed my nervous husband- making us confident to do dance moves we never thought we'd be able to do! I ended up even coming back two more times for lessons with my dad for our father-daughter dance! At our final lesson Violet gave us tips for posing during our wedding photographs and taught us how to dip while walking down the aisle. Violet was a joy to work with and made our lessons so much fun!

We took classes for our 1st dance with Violet. We had a lot of ground to make up and she was effective, patient, and lovely! Really pleased and would definitely recommend for anyone interested.

My husband and I took our first dance class for our wedding with Violet and we had the best experience! She was always so kind and patient when showing us new moves, reviewing from our last session, and walking us through the entire dance. She was so detailed and great with feedback to perfect our dance. If you are looking for a first dance instructor, Violet is the best choice!

Fun class and glad I tried it, really cute space with chandeliers, cubbies, good vibe, friendly teacher. I took the Saturday am beginner ballet. It was more of a mixed level than a true beginner class with pique turns across the floor etc. It would be great if the studio offered a true beginner option for people who are brand new (there were two of us who basically sat out the second half of the class). Still a great class, recommend but you need some ballet experience or willingness to laugh at yourself to really participate.
