Convenient neighborhood post office in a quiet part of Flushing. What sets this branch apart are the great ladies that work there who are always professional and greet you with a smile. Thanks Miss Paula, Courtney, Codian for all the help! TIP: If allergic to lines avoid the early morning rush and it's usually super quiet with no lines.

This post office needs to be shut down and reorganized. Purchased two sneakers that somehow went missing once they got to this location. Read the other reviews and you will see it's a regular occurrence. I suggest you try to bypass this location.

Terrible terrible place and if possible, do not send your packages that bypass this post office. In a span of 6 months they have lost my package three times once arriving to this office, with little to no information on what happened or what to do about it.

I hope someone is held accountable for what can only be described as deliberate theft. My father has been paying for a PO Box at this location for quite some time. Charging someone 24.00/mo + then failing to deliver their mail *repeatedly* is bad enough, but recently this became a life threatening matter. His chronic respiratory conditions right around the time of a simultaneous flu + covid outbreak could have been a death sentence & he was eagerly awaiting a pkg of medical supplies & PPE. Almost as soon as the package arrived, it was auto-marked as “return to sender” for having an invalid address. We were annoyed, as this would mean the package would be returned to its origin, but did not feel totally hopeless b/c we figured that it could just be re-sent to him. Nope! The package was in transit for what seemed like an indefinitely long period + then marked as ‘delivered.’ Multiple communications w/ the sender indicated that this was not the case! This package was either stolen or lost in transit & ERRONEOUSLY marked as delivered! The sender had to file an insurance claim, & to this day the package has NEVER been located. I proceeded to call USPS & they shared that the reason this package was returned was because the name on the mail didn’t match the name that signed up for the PO Box- specifically, it was addressed to his initials as opposed to the full spelling of his name. I could not *believe* what I was hearing. I explained that my dad was an immigrant, that he had a difficult ethnic name, & that the sender likely tried simplifying the matter for themselves by writing out his initials rather than risking making a spelling error. I explained that if incorrect mail was ever delivered to his PO Box, he could have just sent it back himself, the postal office didn’t have to take it upon themselves to hold his mail hostage. I explained that this strict adherence to their fine print made no ethical or practical sense. It makes no ethical sense because essentially USPS was considering paperwork above human life- had this been mail for something trivial I wouldn’t have called or have sat down to write this review (trust me- this is NOT the first, second, or even THIRD time he has not received mail here, this is just the most SERIOUS time), but to withhold an essential good from someone chronically ill & disabled is absolutely *vile.* And to clarify this strict adherence to some random protocol *after* charging him for over a year is incredibly misleading. It makes no practical sense either b/c several corporations & LLCs, including whole banking institutions, utilize PO Boxes to send & receive mail. Even when no recipient is specified at all, I can *guarantee* that any mail I have ever sent to such a PO Box has been successfully delivered. After all, hundreds or even thousands of employees may work for such a company. It would be insane to mandate that only one name be acceptable, & only if written in a specific format. Said USPS customer service representative also boldly lied to me. Initially, she stated that the package had been addressed to someone with the initials “KJ,” & that this was the reason for the package loss (in essence she was stating that not only was the recipient’s name not fully spelled out, but that the initials themselves weren’t his initials, leading to usps making the logical decision to send the package back). I had, from the sender, a precise image of the mailing label used; this was *false.* The mailing label had been printed, not handwritten, so there was absolutely *no* mistaking that the initials were not “KJ.” This was something this representative just made up! Eventually she agreed with me that paperwork is *not* above human life, and that had she been the one to receive a package addressed to one’s po box, she could have used some deductive reasoning to understand that if someone w/ the initials “XY” (as an example) owned a PO Box, and a package came in addressed to initials “XY,” it would make sense to deliver this package rather than to w/hold the package on some dubious basis.
