Wanpo Tea Shop

Excellent shop for traditional Taiwanese flavors. You can customize your drink with ice and sugar levels. If you like the flavor of traditional Taiwan tea without sugar, get something like Alishan Oolong. I added taro balls and red bean. Refreshing and a nice ‘dessert’ alternative.

Taiwanese style bubble tea - not too sweet, and the tea has an interesting flavor that is a bit earthy and rich, similar to another tea I've had in the past, but can't quite place. Bubbles are firm and not too sweet, too, which was nice. Ordering was through the kiosk.

There are two kiosks where you order from. Me always stick to Aiyu Jelly lemon green tea. No sugar no ice. This time I had light ice and the taste goes flat. Staff calls order number at the counter for drinks to pick-up, also gives you loyalty card to collect stamps for award. Bubble is the type that hard to chew and less sweetness, instead of tender one with brown sugar seasoned.

Maybe it’s just my taste but I wouldn’t not recommend to try the oolong latte as your first ever unless you tried it and absolutely loved it. Could not finish it 🥲 I wont give them a terrible review based on 1 drink. Just fyi because mindful of what you order ☺️ The shop is nice and they hand out the stuff quite fast so that’s okay.

Some unique tea choices than other typical bubble places. Really liked the traditional and nostalgic feel of the decor. Tasted my companion’s soy milk red bean it was mild in flavor. Did not like the self order machine would not indicate a selected beverage as unavailable until after tapping credit card. The credit card charge went through without transaction completed but refund did get credited in 2 days.
