I went in for a major haircut and left feeling amazing. The stylist understood exactly the kind of change I wanted something bold but still natural and delivered it perfectly. The shape is beautiful, the texture is great, and it somehow makes my whole look feel more put together. It’s one of those haircuts that instantly boosts your mood.
Got an amazing color and highlights with Masato! He listened carefully to my requests and guided me to the best result for my hair. The salon just opened this year and its atmosphere and design clearly reflect his talent and attention to detail. Masato has gained extensive experience working both in the city and in Japan, which truly shows in his refined technique and professionalism. Will definitely be back for my next color!
Amazing experience! Masato is very detailed and communicated well, and my haircut turned out exactly how I imagined it. The salon is beautiful and has an amazing look, very clean and calming environment. I'm always nervous to try a new stylist but I will absolutely be back for future cuts. Attached are photos of my haircut and the reference picture I provided. I highly recommend WAYHOVER, and for the area it is also very reasonably priced.
Literally best hair salon I’ve ever been to. Made an appointment day of, Masato fit me in at the end of his shift and did a massive cut for me. He was so meticulous with cutting AND styling my hair exactly how I wanted. He even took photos of the reference photos I showed him. And he really listened to everything I asked (I have straight hair that shows everything if cut poorly) and let me know every move he was making as cut. I am so happy!!! Very trustworthy place.
I had a haircut 2 weeks ago — I can prepared with images and talked with the stylist the whole way through. I was very happy and excited about my haircut until the very end, when after my hair had been blow dried, my stylist told me that she was going to go in to put some finishing touches on the layers. What she did instead was thin out 2/3 of my hair without telling me or asking me if I wanted that. If she had — the answer would have been no, as I like my thick hair and like to wear it in braids and such. She used scissors that she dragged downward from very close to my roots to do this, which is a very bad idea for my hair type as I have finely textured hair. I was left speechless and expressed to her that I didn’t like it and that she look out way too much, and the response was “now it’s lighter”, which again, I didn’t ask for or want. I emailed them the day after expressing my disappointment and dissatisfaction, as well as my insecurity around it and the fact that it severely damaged my hair (I have been cutting out split ends from my hair for 2 weeks now left behind by the method of thinning that was used). I’ve received no response. Again, I liked my haircut until this point and my stylist worked very meticulously to deliver, but all of that went away when she removed 2/3 of my hair during the dry February months that have left me with brittle stands and lots of damage. I essentially paid a high cost for someone to damage my hair that I need to now fix and wait for 2/3 of my hair density to come back which will take a very long time. It seems that the judgement was misguided in delivery — both by not communicating with me properly and giving me a bad haircut, as well as proper haircut methods since you are supposed to leave the salon with healthier hair when only receiving a cut. ***I cannot respond to their response but I have yet to locate a response email from my original complaint***
