Xie Bao Flushing 蟹寶

crab roe is one of my favorite guilty pleasures, it is super rich and goes great with over some carbs. we got the crab roe over noodles, crab and pork bao, and crab roe and pork soup dumplings. you get a good amount in crab roe. if you can change up the taste , it comes with some vinegar as well.

I was torn between getting the crab roe over rice or the crab roe over noodles but thankfully, we went with the noodles! They soaked up all that rich, golden crab roe perfectly. The flavor was fresh, buttery, and umami-packed without being too heavy or overpowering. You can really taste the quality of the crab roe, and the texture of the noodles complemented it so well. I didn’t get to try other items on the menu this time, but I’m definitely coming back to explore more. The guy running the place was incredibly friendly. He even offered free noodle refills, which was so kind of him.

This is classic Shanghainese Chinese cuisine done right — comforting, rich, and deeply satisfying without breaking the bank. It’s easy to see why people rave about this spot. Absolutely delicious crab meat! I went to their Manhattan place with friends before, and this spot in Flushing was just as impressive. My husband and I ordered three dishes and were completely satisfied😍 The crab rice is a must-try, or choose noodles if you prefer. And love the crab soup dumplings dipped in vinegar! Oh and the crab pastry even comes in a cute little box, so delicate and adorable~~ perfectly crisp in one bite! It’s also great as a gift for friends~ It is located right at the entrance of the food court. We’ll definitely be back!

Came to Xie Bao for lunch on a snowy cold day. It is the first vendor as soon as you walk into the New York Food Court. You can either order on the kiosk or with the person at the vendor. The top hit is their Crab Roe with Rice and it’s absolutely delicious. I’ve tried other items and they’re just as good and filling, such as the soup dumplings, shrimp wonton, or even the yellow croaker noodles. I also got the Flaky Pastry w Red Bean Paste for dessert, which came in a cute box. Worth checking out!
