Yanagi Sushi & Ramen

This is one of my favorite local Japanese restaurant even before the renaming. The quality of food and service of the team are always amazing. I am so happy that they offer sukiyaki set on the menu. Such a great dish to have during cold winter. I fell in love with their specitial dish grilled fish. People should try it with rice.

Hi the restaurant is under new ownership and it's still has the same quality of food as before! The sushi quality is really good and the portion of fish in the sushi is exceptional and very fresh! The staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs as well! Highly recommend!

Under new management and new name, previously known as Suzuki Shokudo. Same amazing local resturant, great staff and quality food. We ordered the special dinner bento, salmon chirashi, stylish don, ramen and stylish set, and hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar). Food was just as good as previous years.

Suzuki decided to retire and welcome the new Chef, Mr. Yanagi! So glad we can continue eating here because what would we do without Japanese food? Yum yum! The Chef has been handling fish for many years, so he's just as talented as Suzuki-San, but younger. Everything is so fresh, and the fish is happy to be here. Maintain consistency and keep customers happy! We love it! It's the same place as Suzuki, so it can accommodate about 20-30 people, including the sushi bar. My favorites include Chirashi and Stylish Don. Both dishes served a fresh selection of raw fish over Japanese rice, exceptionally well prepared and delicious. Vegetable Ramen is another favorite when I feel like having soup! They also offer seasonal specials à la carte! It's awesome! Must-have! Highly recommended! Thanks Chef and his team!

Had an absolutely delicious dinner at Yanagi! They’re under new management now, but the spirit of the old spot is still there - especially when it comes to the sushi. The quality has jumped to a whole new level. I ordered the spicy Kamikaze roll, which has officially become my favorite “sushi burrito.” It’s packed generously with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado, and tobiko—super flavorful and incredibly fresh. I also got the special dinner box, which was so good I forgot to take a photo before diving in. The salmon teriyaki is not sweet and has a rich sake flavor. The tempura deserves a special shout-out: unbelievably crispy with shrimp tempura that BOUNCES- might be the best I’ve had in years. I tried several of their special sushi pieces as well, including the yellowtail belly and the king salmon foie gras- both outstanding. The Hokkaido uni is rich, almost crimson unlike your more yellow Maine uni, and briny yet clean, and the ikura comes topped with a house-made yuzu jelly that adds the perfect citrus brightness. Every detail feels carefully thought out. I loved that each time our special nigiri came, the waiter made sure to tell us that we don’t need any sauce. It already comes perfectly prepared for you to consume. Overall, Yanagi is truly stepping up its game. For any sushi lover, this place is an absolute must-visit.
