This was my first time here, and I’ve already decided I want to come back for my birthday next year🥹 Honestly, I wanted to order almost everything on the menu. The clams were incredibly fresh and plump, huge clams, super juicy, and perfect with a beer🍺 The lamb chops were fried to perfection, super crispy on the outside, and the seasoning was spot on. Both the lamb skewers and lamb kidney skewers were delicious, cooked just right with great flavor. We also ordered the frog ($58), the portion was huge and definitely worth it, the 🐸 was very tender and clearly not frozen. Two of us spent about $200 before tax and tip, but everything was high quality, and I’m more than happy to pay for food like this. I’d absolutely come back regularly. The service was also great, nothing like some of the scary reviews I saw before coming (those honestly almost stopped me from trying this place… really glad I didn’t listen.) Highly recommend!

Yang Dong Jia in Flushing is the real deal for anyone craving authentic northern Chinese flavors. I came here for breakfast and tried their lamb bun and lamb soup — both were outstanding. The lamb bun was crisp on the outside and juicy inside, packed with rich, meaty flavor and just the right amount of spice. The lamb soup was deeply comforting, aromatic, and full of tender pieces that warmed me up instantly. You can tell everything is made fresh, and the flavors taste like something straight out of China. The place gets busy in the morning with locals lining up, so expect a short wait, but it’s absolutely worth it. A perfect spot for a hearty, authentic start to the day in Flushing.

The lamb soup is excellent and perfect for a cold winter day. Among the skewers, the oysters are my favorite, full of flavor, and the chicken wings are nicely charred and tender. The lamb and beef skewers are over-marinated and lose their natural taste. I do not recommend the lamb leg since it is about 200 dollars, takes a long time to cook, and often ends up overcooked. Their dumplings and stir-fried dishes are quite good and worth trying. The biggest downside is the service. There are too many tables and not enough staff, and you have to ask for everything, even water. The food is great, but the service needs improvement.

Amazing breakfast spot. The lamb innerds soup or lamb soup are one size only, giant bowl like a mini bucket. The innerds are a few slices of lamb and tons of tripe, there’s no lungs or other organs. Soup comes with a free bread (shao bing). Amazing for $10. Then the pork, beef or lamb baos are all $5 for 6. The taste is great though the meat ball inside is just 1/4th the size of the rapper. The beef bao is soy sauce based and lamb is plain. The little help yourself pickled vegetables slices are $3 per plate. There’s 3 parking spots available in front of the restaurant. Would definitely come back to this breakfast spot. 6am - 11am.

We (7 people) dined in on a Saturday night around 9pm. You should definitely call to reserve and we also gave them a 30mins heads up to prepare the lamb leg so we didn’t have to wait, per their suggestion. The dishes were all super flavorful. You order in the front where they have the dishes laid out for you almost like the fake dishes in Japan! The stir fry cabbage was tasty, the spicy fish soup had just enough spice and the cold dishes like okra and tofu skin were refreshing with spices. The lamb leg was a good portion for about 5 people for $158. As with most Chinese restaurants, don’t expect stellar service, they get the job done and it’s expected since it was very busy. Would recommend for anyone who likes lamb!
