I was looking all over Chinatown and LES for a Martial Arts class for my daughter (10 yrs old) and finally found one that we both loved. The priority in this school is to teach, not entertain. It’s a school, not an aerobics Kung Fu class for kids in which they “feel worked” but didn’t really learn anything. Leave the ego at the door and learn in an environment of respect and high level of expert. As a parent what I look at the most are the values a school embraces. I want to know what are the overriding influences besides the technique they teach. This school won.

I started with an interested in the art of Kung fu and it took me in a whole new direction in life .... Yee's Hung Ga teaches traditional Hung Ga Kung fu ... this is a real school that teaches a real style of Kung Fu. I have a lot of great things to say about the school and Sifu Joseph Demundo ... I suggest trying out a class for yourself and see if its the right fit for you. The school offers great instruction with a lot of personal attention, very friendly atmosphere .... but be prepared to work hard! ... this is Kung Fu.

I have been training with Sifu Joseph for nearly 20 years. Through the training, I've gotten in the best shape of my life, I've found community, made friends and have grown as a person. If you train at Yee's Hung Ga and stick with it, you will get in good shape, you will enjoy it and your self-discipline will improve.
