Yoi Sushi

Absolutely blown away by our dinner here! The menu is full of creative and delicious surprises. The seared fish was perfectly cooked, with a crispy skin and tender, flaky meat. The uni appetizer was a standout- creamy and rich, just how I like it. The tempura shrimp was light and crispy, and the miso soup was the perfect, comforting start to our meal. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We will definitely be back to try more of their amazing dishes!

Been here for 6 years, love their sushi, always so fresh. What really sets this place apart is the quality of their sushi rice. It’s perfectly seasoned and slightly sticky, so the rolls hold together well instead of falling apart like at many other places. The fish is consistently fresh and you can really taste the difference. Definitely not your average sushi spot.

I had such a great experience at Yoi Sushi! The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the quality of the fish, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was cozy and perfect for either a casual dinner or a cute night out. I especially loved how consistent everything was—from the appetizers to the specialty rolls. Definitely one of my go-to sushi spots in Hoboken. I’ve been coming to this local sushi spot quite regularly and they never miss! I personally like coming here for their lunch special and $1.35 sushi/sashimi special. Most places only have lunch special available for weekdays but this place got it everyday till 4pm and it’s definitely a bang for your buck. Keep in mind that the $1.35 special is for cash only so make sure you bring enough. I personally recommend the yuzu red snapper, grill mackerel, and chicken katsu. also recommend the spanish mackerel, I havent found this fish anywhere else and it’s basically a more mild but fresher taste of the typical mackerel. They are also doing a lot of promotions! right now they have a spend $100 and get a special app for only $1 till 1/31/26. We got the lobster 3 ways and it was pretty good! They also have a free grilled salmon neck (3rd pic) for a party of 4+ and that ends also ends on 1/31/26

My friend and I came here for sushi and it was really good! We enjoyed the food and will definitely come again! The service was really quick and they made us feel so comfortable!
