Zhang Liang Spicy Hot Pot

we came in for dinner around 8:45 and they were closing at 9. They were super nice and let us order and eat here. The food was really good and we go the dry hotpot. Food was fresh and quick! Highly recommend

I was craving mala xiang guo and this hit the spot. Located right of main street, this fast casual restaurant is your classic malatang spot. You fill up your bowl with the ingredients you want, weigh it, and once they cook it and it's ready, you just pick it up from the counter! They have a variety of veggies, fish tofus, and meats for you to add to your malatang. I would say that their selection is a bit smaller than I'm used to, and a lot of their meats were already marinated (which I don't like). But, their veggie selection was good and fresh. I got their spicy mala xiang guo, and it came with a side of rice. It was good, but I felt like it wasn't spicy enough so I went to go make my own sauce. I wish there was just a bit more seasoning sauce in their mala xiang guo. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it.

the staff and everyone there was super nice and friendly, but i just don’t think the soup base was too good. great selection of ingredients and items for you to pick from but the broth itself wasn’t my favorite and i honestly think that’s a huge part of malatang so i suggest maybe changing the soup based but other than that the staff were extremely friendly and even offered recommendations to my friends and i who were thinking about what we wanted, would be back to try something different next time and hopefully change my opinion

I came here with my boyfriend multiple times already, we tried dry noodles style and hot pot soup style but we like the soup style the most! Soo yummmm. Price is acceptable, place is clean and no line. We definitely keep coming back!
